Flickr photos on Apple TV – Not ready for prime time yet…

I was very excited about Apple TV capability to display Flickr photos as I keep looking for better way to turn my big screen TV into my personal photos slideshows viewer. Until now I’ve been using Slickr on a PC connected to my TV. Unfortunately the feature is poorly implemented by Apple. It appears that Apple rushed to get it out of the door – it just doesn’t work out of the box – very untypical for Apple. By Googling about this issue I found out that the Flickr user must go deep into his Flickr settings on Flickr.com and make all photos searchable. I did that and the feature still doesn’t work – arrggg.. BTW, the feature didn’t work for Steve Jobs as well in his MacWorld keynote – dark screen. What I want is a simple way to display a slide show of my personal Flickr photos using Apple TV – come on Apple – fix this already…

Amazingly it is still broken. This feature has got such a huge potential. Too bad.
